Chapter 7

It was time for the journey, and I packed my bags for the long road ahead. I was finally in my own power. I packed all the essentials from my dorm: clothes, body care items, magic book, stones, knives, herbs, and enough items including my laptop and charger to last a few days. We waited till the weekend so it wouldn’t interfere with school. I got all my work done so that was not a worry. After I got my stuff ready, I met Zion outside, and his car is a red Lamborghini. Sleek and sexy just like him. I have my suitcase, and he opened up the trunk for me to stuff it in. He gave me a smile and it made my heart beat fast knowing he is all mine.

I got in the passenger seat and Zion got in the drivers’ after shutting the trunk. He put his key in the ignition and revved up the engine. The drive there gave me time to ask him questions about the place called Dead Man’s House.

“Where are we going exactly? Is it in the Crystal Crest or Luxor realm?” I asked him.

“Luxor. it used to be a party house until the owner died. The sword is supposedly in a secret place old vampires used to do their rituals.”

“That is comforting,” I told him, not looking forward to going to a haunted house. A part of me wanted to hide and say fuck it but I wouldn’t. I’d go since witches’ lives depended on it. We got out of Crystal Crest by heading through a portal near SouthBend University. I could feel the energy change right as we got into the realm. All my senses are heightened thanks to the vampire senses I have. It was all overwhelming since I was still new to it. It’s a lot to get used to.

Zion was in my head. Stop thinking about it since we will get him. Once we find the sword, we can destroy the box.

I know, it’s just hard since so much has changed in the past few days. At least I have you now. I have Zion and that is all I need.

Nathan does deserve to die for what he did to everyone, and we will make it happen to stop him from killing the witches.

The drive there was long, and we stopped at a hotel called Vampire Mansion. The hotel was cute since it looked like a creepy mansion straight out of a horror movie. Black and red décor in the lobby, and a receptionist dressed in a red and black uniform with vampire fangs matching the creepy theme. Of course, the vampires were real, and I loved the spooky red blood waterfall at the end and the cobwebs placed throughout the house. It added to the atmosphere, gave it an eerie feel. It was a cute hotel to stay at.

The receptionist looked at Zion. “A room for two?” she asks him.

“Yes and make that a luxury room
