End with savasana, or corpse pose: Lie down on your back and close your eyes, letting your feet fall out to either side. Bring your arms alongside your body leaving a little space, and turn your palms to face upward. Relax your whole body, including your face. Let your body feel heavy. Let the breath occur naturally, and stay here for several minutes.
To come out, first begin to deepen your breath. Then move your fingers and toes, awakening the body. Bring your knees into the chest and then roll to your side and get up. You should feel deeply relaxed.
Breath is a significant part of this sequence. Movement from one pose to the next is always with either an inhalation or exhalation of the breath. You can control the pace of the sequence by altering the number of breaths in each pose; just make sure to only move to the next pose on the correct breath. Continue doing the complete cycle of postures, building energy, and maintaining your focus on your goal/intent until you feel the power peaking, then send onward with an exhalation.
Seated Breathing Asana
Start by breathing deeply, centering yourself, and bringing yourself to the present moment. Focus on your goal/intention/desire. Spend 1 to 3 minutes on long, slow abdominal breathing. Raise your arms and extend them at a 60 degree angle with palms flat and facing upward. Continue the abdominal breathing for 1 to 3 minutes. Extend your arms horizontally to the sides with the wrists bent upwards and the palms facing away. Continue the abdominal breathing for 1 to 3 minutes. Bring your hands together and clasp them at the sternum with your arms pushing your palms together. Continue the abdominal breathing for 1 to 3 minutes.
5. Sexual Stimulation
While challenging for a beginner, this is a powerful technique with the added bonus of being fun to practice. The basic idea is to stimulate your sexual organs while maintaining your concentration on a goal.65 Build your working in your mind, then release and expel all the energy in conjunction with your orgasm. Deliberately using your breath to control the rhythm of your sexual excitement while visualizing the outcome of your working adds intensity. If with another person, there must be active and absolute consent and agreement between participants about how to raise energy and the goal of the working.
6. Binding or Flagellation
Binding or flagellation/scourging are different ways to practice blood control and have a long history of ritual use.66 Flagellation, the deliberate application of pain by using a whip, scourge, or other strapped implements, almost always conjures up images of sexual dominance. It has a ânastyâ flavor, which is a shame as it is an effective method for altering consciousness. Binding (using cords or similar material to restrict blood flow) is a little less known outside of specific traditions but is just as effective. Ideally, these methods are combined with meditation and breathwork. Binding requires at least one other person present as it is too dangerous for most people to practice alone.
