CHAPTER FOUR

Cindy stumbled through the weekend in a haze of lust brightened only by her love for Marley. It burned so bright it seemed nothing could dull it. Only, that wasn’t exactly true. Monday, she would have to face the woman she loved. Who knew what she felt about what happened Friday night? She’d hoped Marley would call her, but she hadn’t.

Her ass still hurt. It would be days before the bruises on her skin faded away, but their presence reminded her how much she loved and was loved. She could hardly wait to show Marley, but first, she had to find out what her co-worker had thought of the spanking she had given her.

Walking into the office, she was deliberately late, putting off the face-to-face meeting as long as possible. Knowing she’d have a split-second, at best, to judge her friend’s mood, Cindy took a deep breath then opened the door.

Marley was bent over their worktable, her back to the door. She didn’t rise, just called out, “Morning,” and continued to work. Cindy divested herself of her coat, hanging it on her usual hook by the door. Her red wool pea coat snuggled next to her friend’s more conservative, and stylish, greatcoat, making Cindy long to get closer to the coat’s owner.

She glanced over her shoulder. Marley had chosen another tight skirt today, this one in a deep green that was both festive and classy. She noted the absence of panty lines, which reminded her of the delight she’d been denied on Friday. She’d been looking forward to seeing those flawless globes outlined by the strap of a thong. But the damned woman had gone commando.

She eyed the leather Ho, Ho, Ho strap on the wall. In an instant, she made up her mind. It was time to put it all out there in the open. She couldn’t go on like this, working with the woman, wanting her, needing to touch her and not being able to. Not after what happened at Bottoms Up.

She shouldn’t have touched her afterward, had known she would pay a price for doing so, but the woman’s arousal had been too enticing to resist. If she’d thought spanking was a passing fancy for her friend, she knew better now.

She’d washed her hand since then, but Marley’s scent was permanently ingrained on Cindy’s memory. Throughout the spanking, the woman had been silent, but once she pushed her fingers inside Marley’s body, the woman had moaned and writhed. She had almost orgasmed herself when Marley flew apart, soaking Cindy’s hand with her juices while choking back a scream that sounded like her name.
