Caught

For the first time in months, Davis slept like a baby.

Lying with Jess in his arms had elicited several more rounds and in the wee hours of the morning, they’d futilely called a truce and promised to actually try and get some sleep.

"Shit, shit, fuck!" Davis whispered as he moved out of the bed, trying to not wake his sleeping lover. Toshi had practically raised her--he didn't want her to see the look of utter disappointment he was just dealt.

He crept out of the bedroom, pulling the door shut behind him. He heard an angry clatter of dishes in the kitchen and steeled himself as he walked down the staircase.

He was caught. And he had no real defense. Davis knew better...even when his cock was smothered in Jess's sweet juices, a voice in the back of his head was saying, "Tsk, tsk, tsk."

Toshi's back was to him, but by the taut way she stood he knew she realized she was no longer alone.

Davis cleared his throat. "Let me, uh, explain. You see-"

"No." Her single word sliced through his confession. "She's a child, Mr. Kensington. She's grieving--and you took advantage of that!"

Davis' eyes fell to the floor. "You think I'm not grieving, Toshi? You think I don't miss Claudia everyday?" He moved to beside the sink. He had to make her understand. "You think this doesn't eat at me?"

Toshi looked up, her dark eyes narrowed. "Apparently not too much."

Davis took a step back. "I deserved that."

Toshi let out a cruel chuckle. "Oh you deserve, much, MUCH more." She pulled her soapy hands from the water and wiped them on a dish towel. "You knew better. You're a grown ass man and you laid with your stepdaughter." She tossed the towel at him. "What, you think because you didn't raise her it makes it less disgusting? I've been with the Capshaws for 15 years. And I can tell you sir, if you didn't still owe me a check, and I was a man, I'd punch your lights out."

Davis tucked his tail between his legs. He almost wished she did hit him. He'd prefer the pain of sticks and stones over the agony of her words.
