There once lived two herds of horses that roamed the African plains. One was a herd of black horses and the other a herd of white horses. The horses were fearful of many things—mostly being seen, being eaten, and being different from the rest of the herd.

Living in fear, they spent most of the time running away from danger. But, their lives changed one early spring day when a new horse was born.

TLC shifted his weight on the rock to take advantage of the warmest spot and continued:

The sight of this new filly confused both herds because she was unlike any horse they had ever seen before. She was most certainly different! And, because of that, the horses feared her even though they did not really know what they were afraid of.

This new horse was Eli-zee, and she was black-and-white striped.
