BILLY DRIVES ME OUT to what seems to me is the middle of the desert. Billy gets out of the truck and comes over to my side to let me out like a true gentleman. He helps me down, and I gasp as I look up at the night sky covered in stars. I haven’t really taken the time to look up at the sky since I got here. But now I can finally take a moment. It’s a lot different from Chicago where stars are not something you see too much of.

Billy stands beside me and places his hat on my head. It covers my eyes completely.

“Hey! Take this thing back,” I say.

"I thought it would look good on you, and it does.”

I raise the brim of the hat so I can see again, and Billy is grinning down at me.

“Looks better on you, I think.”

“Nah. You’re gonna be a regular cowgirl soon. We’ll get you into the full outfit—jeans, a tight t-shirt, and sexy thigh-high boots.”

“That’s your fantasy, huh?”

“I got one fantasy right now,” he says.

I hesitate to ask him what it is. I’m pretty sure I know the answer. But I do anyway, because I know hearing it will make me feel warm and wonderful all over.

“What’s your one fantasy?” I ask.

“You,” he says. “Ever since I saw you, it’s been you.”

He steps forward and presses his body against mine. I back up till I’m right up against his truck. My quick breathing has returned. I can feel something very hard poking into me...

His hands wrap around me, and he just holds me there like that. In the quiet of the night, I feel safer than I ever have before. And I haven’t felt safe in a long time.

Just being here in Billy’s arms makes me wonder if I should move to Arizona and live at the Lone Wolf Ranch with Billy. I’m sure it’s a peaceful and happy life. I know it can’t be mine. I’ve got too many friends and family back home in Chicago. The city is where I grew up, and I never imagined leaving it behind until now.

“This feels nice. I mean, you feel nice,” I say.

“Good, because I’m gonna kiss you now,” he replies.

“I was starting to wonder if you were gonna do that soon.”

He puts a slight distance between us, and then comes down for the kiss. I suck in my gut right before his lips connect with mine, but soon I let it out as I relax into his kiss. His sweet perfect kiss.

His mouth tastes like it was made for mine. There’s a hint of sweetness as our tongues twist around each other. Billy’s hands wander across my body as he kisses me. And when he gets down my thigh—he slides his hand between my legs, and I want to gasp but can’t because our mouths are still locked together.

Billy doesn’t ask for my permission as he hikes my dress up and works his hand into my panties. But he doesn’t need to ask anyway, because I would give it to him freely at this point.
