Yin Type B Trick of the Trade

Nobody benefits more from warm- or hot-natured foods than Yin Type B’s. If you are a Yin Type B, try consuming ginger every morning, ingested as tea or sprinkled over your breakfast for an extra kick! Ginger’s warm nature promotes digestion while supporting the flow of Yang energy, giving Yin Type B’s more overall spunk that could last throughout the day.

Tip #2: Promote Flow with Whole Grain and Nuts

A good night’s sleep not only gives us a chance to let go of daily stress, it also replenishes energy and damaged cell tissue. Yet while we are asleep, our body is much less active than during the day. Lack of movement can lead to stagnation of the body’s energy and blood flow, causing morning stiffness and soreness of the joints and/or muscles. Whole grains and nuts contain volatile oils that help promote the flow of energy and food through the digestive system, picking up and eliminating unwanted by-products along the way. So it’s a good idea for Yin types to incorporate whole-grain foods and nuts into their breakfast as a way to unblock energy that accumulated while we were asleep.
