And that’s why I won’t love.

I prefer to be too much

rather than being nothing much .

I notice how your eyes

remain fixated on me,

how you hold my hand

like I’m ethereal,

how cleverly yet delicately

you play with words

and I wonder

if you are here to seek solace

or you are just another beast,

another façade

charming me

to drop my veil of decency.

In that

gaze of his,

worlds of words

were contained that

didn’t need to be said

but understood and felt.

It has never been your eyes.

It has always been the way

you look at me with them.

~ what made me fall.
