CHAPTER NINE

Later that afternoon while I was resting, Gundy ingratiated himself with the house manager. After some money had passed between them, the manager told Gundy that the three young people had, indeed, been at the hotel but only for two days. It seems that the hotel had to ask them to leave because of complaints from the other patrons. The hotel manager suspected that the three were on drugs.

"The noises which came from the room were bad enough," he explained, "but the three of them wanted to swim nude in the pool! That was the end!"

They were thrown out of the hotel and the manager understood that they had rented a car to go on to Cap-Haitian on the other side of the island. It is Haiti's second-largest city and has a population of 44,000 people. When he had received a little more money, the manager gave Gundy the name of the agency where Marianne Torrance and her companions had rented the car.

I'd given Gundy the room key. When he was finished downstairs, he came up, and entered the room without disturbing me. I awoke with a marvelous sensation between my thighs. "What a beautiful way to wake up!" I yawned.

He forced my legs further apart with his huge hands. His head bobbed up and down while he did several laps around my labia. When he had finished, I shivered with the relaxation that only comes after sexual orgasm.

Gundy lay down beside me and told me what he had found out from the hotel manager. "It's too late to leave now. Let's start first thing in the morning. But tonight, let me take you out."

"You're forgetting yourself. I'm supposed to be taking you out."

He laughed, "Actually L.U.S.T. is taking both of us out!"

"That's a double-entendre if I ever heard one," I replied.

"I'll pick you up at eight."

"I'll be ready."

"After bathing I drenched myself in Caron's marvelous perfume, Infini, a heavy scent of roses and tuberoses. I slipped into a shrimp-colored strapless gown of matte jersey designed by Scott Barrie. It had a mint green cape of chiffon that draped around my shoulders. I wrapped several lengths of pearls and emeralds around my neck, completing the outfit. I touched up the ends of my hair with the curling iron and carefully applied my makeup. I'd gotten marvelous color that afternoon by the pool and I glowed like a peach in brandy.

Gundy was, as usual, on time. He wore a mauve safari suit of polished cotton and around his neck he'd tied a scarf of ruby-red silk. I told him that he looked very spiffy. He thanked me by kissing me on the lips, allowing his tongue to tickle mine.

"Come on, let's go. I hope you've got plenty of money because we're going to do the town tonight!"

We went to a restaurant called Aux Cosaques. It was noted for its Creole specialties. Over a drink, Gundy informed me that he'd talked to the man who'd rented the car to the missing youngsters.
