For each month, you now get a ranking of products. The lines show how that ranking changes over time for individual products.

Because it is more intuitive to have the rank values go from top (i.e. first rank) to bottom, you will invert the vertical axis to finish a basic version of the bump chart. Do that by right‐clicking the axis for Sales Rank and selecting Edit Axis. Select the option for the scale to be Reversed, as shown in Figure 5.9.
