Chapter Fourteen
Amaya
Sitting on the couch, I stare at the TV blankly. Itâs been hours since everything imploded this morning. I mean hours. The guys immediately decided to jump up and head straight into the room they hold church leaving all the women in the main room with a prospect on the door.
Isaac looked to me and told me I wasnât to leave the room or try to go anywhere outside without him. Iâd been officially put on lockdown. I shouldnât be surprised because this is the type of man Isaac is. Nerd came out about two hours after they went into church asking to talk to me. He wanted to know if he could use my computer system on my laptop. I shrugged and offered to set the programming up on his so he can use it.
At this point Iâm done. I donât want to be in the business anymore. Not when it has men, like the one I named earlier.
While Iâd been sitting in the main room of the clubhouse, each of the women introduced themselves and spoke to me. They were completely nice, and I thought it cool how two of them I knew by their reputation. Iâd found it through the backdoors Iâd go in. The hits they took out, oh those were interesting. Thereâd been an order taken out about a year ago and I remember seeing it within minutes of it going out and wiped it before anyone could contract it.
I believed in the work they were doing. Especially, Harlow. Sheâd been known as the Harpy.
The others chit-chatted and then some other women entered the room looking scantily clad in miniskirts and crop tops that barely covered them. Victoria and Harley explained to me they were clubwhores and Iâd want to stay away from them.
I nodded since I had no problem with that scenario. I donât want to be in any position where violence is an issue. This being said, I didnât miss the glares the women kept shooting my way. One in particular kept her lip curled up in disgust.
My phone ringing draws my attention back to the now. Isaac brought me home, well, more or less his and Whipâs house, after leaving the clubhouse. Heâs been in the other room with Lincoln playing with him and bonding while Iâve sat here staring at whatever show is playing on the TV.
Lifting my phone, I groan at the name displayed on the screen.
I sigh and hit the answer button. âHello,â I murmur.
âYou bitch. You think you can simply take off and I not find out about it?â Omar snarls through the phone. Iâm not surprised heâs calling me, but I am about it taking him so many days.
âI donât have to answer to you, Omar,â I mutter into the phone quietly not wanting Isaac to hear me.
âBullshit, Amaya. You belong to me. Fuckinâ told you this. Emilia is livid you took off with her kid. She wants him back and youâre gonna give him to her,â Omar declares.
