“Are you sure you don’t mind watching Spencer? I know that you both don’t have that many nights off either,” I ask one last time as I finish tying my hair up for my date with Rex.

It’s our third one. We ate burgers here two weeks ago and then he brought over pizza on my day off last week. Spencer had loved that Rex was here for a movie night and after he fell asleep, Rex and I had gone back to the couch and made out like two horny teenagers until we were both too exhausted to keep our eyes open.

This will be our first date without Spencer or one of my roommates there as pseudo chaperones, and I think that we’re both looking forward to some time alone.

I also have a feeling that this will be the night where we take things to the next step.

I hope that it is. God, do I hope that it is.

I’ve been thinking about sex and more specifically what sex with Rex would be like. If his kisses can drive me out of my mind, what will him touching, licking, fucking me do to me?

“We’re sure,” Lucy and Scarlett say at the same time, and I laugh.

They’ve both been very excited about me dating and have already offered to keep an eye on Spencer whenever they can so I can see Rex more often. They both know how crazy my schedule is and without them, I’d never have time to go out with him.

The doorbell rings and Spencer shouts that he’s got it as I take a deep breath and turn to head downstairs.

“Have fun,” Scarlett calls after me and I can hear Lucy giggling.

I head downstairs, my flats soft on the stairs. I’m wearing a pair of tight blue jeans with a fuzzy pink sweater. I have a black camisole on underneath in case I get too hot. It’s been so chilly all this week and since I don’t know what we’re doing or where we’re going, I wanted to dress in layers just to be safe.

“Hey,” I say when I see Rex and Spencer with their heads close together.

They’re busy discussing something that seems important, and I smile as I watch how gentle and patient Rex is with my brother. Spencer practically worships the ground Rex works on. He’s even been drawing more just to show it to Rex every time he comes over. Rex always compliments him and gives him a new tip.

Rex looks up and his eyes widen slightly when his eyes scan down my outfit.

“Whoa, you look amazing,” Rex whispers and I grin, feeling lighter.

Every time Rex’s eyes are on me, it feels like bubbles are popping inside of me. Or like I’m floating on a cloud a few feet off of the ground.

“Ready to go?” he asks me and I nod, grabbing my purse off the hook by the door.

“Scarlett and Lucy have a fun night planned for you,” I tell Spencer, pulling him into a quick hug.
