Chapter Eleven

Asingle tear slides out of the corner of Penny’s eye, and I track its progress as it leaves a glistening trail down her cheek. Reaching up, I wipe it away and hope that it’s a happy tear.

“Did I hurt you?” My gut rolls at the thought. I know I had to have hurt her a little, but it seemed like she was with me.

“No. Well… yes… but it was worth it.” She says, smiling up at me.

“Why the tears then, pretty girl?” I ask.

She hesitates, chewing her lip like it offended her. I reach forward and slide my thumb across it to stop her abuse. The pause grows longer, but I’m happy to wait her out.

“No one has ever told me they love me before.” She drops that little bomb, and it shatters my whole world. My heart breaks for her, and at the same time, I feel more determined than ever to make sure this amazing woman knows just how special she is.

Unable to help it, I crush her body into mine. There are so many things I want to say, but first I need to take care of getting her cleaned up.

“Well, you better get used to it,” I say, gently sliding out of her body. “Don’t you move an inch; I’m coming right back.”

Getting out of bed, I make my way into the master bathroom and deal with the blood-tinged condom. I can’t believe that no other man has touched my Little Bird, but I’m determined to make damn sure that I am the only man who ever gets to.

Making sure the tub is filling nicely, I grab a washcloth and head back out to clean her up.

The sight of her lying in my bed makes my heart swell. Her long brown hair is splayed across my pillow, and her perfect almond-shaped brown eyes light up as I re-enter the room. I take in all the little love bites that I left on her body, her swollen pink lips. Maybe I was a bit too rough…

“Hey, baby, spread those legs for me,” she complies without hesitation, although she looks away.

“What are you doing?” she asks as I climb back up on the bed and bring the warm cloth to her swollen pussy. She jumps as I make contact, and I make sure to keep my touch light.

“Just cleaning this pretty pussy, then I thought we could take a bath,” I say as I finish wiping away the proof of her innocence.
