Darryl, his dark eyes narrowed as he observed the intimate scene unfolding before him. Fury simmered beneath his brooding expression, his knuckles whitening as he clenched his fists.

"Damn it, Tonya," he muttered under his breath, his gaze flickering between her and Andre. "What the hell are you doing?"

Every lingering touch, every shared laugh – it all fueled his jealousy, igniting a fire that threatened to consume him. He had been skeptical when Tonya agreed with Dr Allen’s plan and decided to meet Andre at the Art Institute. He wanted to trust her, but seeing Andre getting so familiar and intimate with Tonya brought back a wave of bitterness and resentment.

"Of course," Darryl sneered, his chest tightening at the sight of Tonya's hand resting on Andre's forearm. "He just can't let go, can he? And neither can she."

Lost in her thoughts, Tonya ascended the staircase. She replayed her conversation with Andre in her mind, seeking solace in his words of encouragement. But despite the comforting reassurances, a gnawing sense of unease clung to her like a shadow.

As she reached the top of the stairs, she paused, glancing back one last time. In that fleeting moment, she thought she caught a glimpse of Darryl's dark form lurking in the shadows, his eyes fixed on her with an intensity that sent a shiver down her spine. He wouldn’t have followed her here, would he?

"Is everything okay?" Andre asked, concern etched on his face as he noticed her sudden unease.

"Y-yes," she stammered, forcing herself to look away from Darryl's piercing gaze. "I just... I need some time alone to think." For a moment, she wanted to chase after the man she thought she saw but when she turned back around there was no one.

"Take all the time you need, Tonya," Andre said, offering her a reassuring smile before turning to leave.

As he disappeared from sight, Tonya couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. Was it really Darryl or was she imagining things? Her heart raced, the hairs on the back of her neck standing on end as she tried to dismiss the creeping sensation of dread.

"Get it together, Tonya," she whispered to herself, taking a deep breath to steady her nerves. Little did she know that her worst fears were about to come true – and the consequences would be more devastating than she could ever imagine.
