Messiah had kept his word, and since yesterday we’ve been in these New York streets shopping and eating. RaRa and Tron were off to do some last-minute Christmas shopping for the boys, and afterwards, they would be meeting me and Messiah at the children’s group home. I still didn’t know what to make out of the situation with her and Tron. Messiah seemed upset with Tron, but I, on the other hand, wasn’t mad at all. With all the shit Kedrick put RaRa through over all these years, she deserved a piece of happiness, and Kedrick needed a taste of sweet revenge pie. I didn’t know much about Tron growing up, except he was one of the dope boys on the block and Messiah’s cousin. A lot had changed about Tron over the years, he still had the hustle inside of him, but now he was doing it the legit way. Whatever he did to lure RaRa in, I hope it was genuine because my sister seemed to be caught in her feelings behind Tron.

Since I’m on the subject of feelings, I was trying my hardest not to show how I really felt to Messiah. It was an hourly struggle trying not to be transparent in front of the man who always saw straight through me. From the moment we pulled up to his mansion, something came over me. His home was breathtaking, especially during the night. Oversized Christmas wreaths hung between the windows. Large and colorful Christmas lights bordered the trimming of the house and windows. Once I stepped inside the threshold, a warming sensation came over me. Both of the stone fireplaces were lit, sending waves of heat to warm the downstairs area. The décor from the outside continued throughout the lower level, and large bows and long strings of pine garland circled the elegant spiral staircase. If my mama saw his Christmas tree, she’d turn into Scrooge. Medium sized glass bulbs hang from the tree with ornaments of angles and snowflakes. Fake snow flocked the tree giving a delusional that it had been picked right from the outside blizzard. The tree was stunning.
