MICHAEL

She had come back to him!

His defensive, lovable Megan had come to her senses, returning to where she belonged.

For a while, he had stood in place, wondering what the hell had just happened once the door closed behind her and he was all alone in his enormous suite once more, her bewitching scent lingering behind her.

He couldn’t believe she’d left.

No one refused him like that!

Especially not women, and especially not women in his presidential suite.

But all of that didn’t matter now—she was back, and not a moment too soon.

He gathered her into his arms immediately and held her until she started pulling away.

“I’m so glad to see you again,” he said, unable to stop himself as she disentangled herself from him.

Where was his usual chill, dammit?

Don’t let her see you sweat, he reminded himself. Don’t let her know you’re already whipped.

Then again, why not? She needed to know he was serious about her, didn’t she?

Yeah, but you know this game—the stronger you appear, the more she’ll want you. She can’t know the power she has over you just yet. The time will come to give her a glimpse, but even then, just a glimpse.

Either way, he knew exactly what he wanted to do to her now that she was back in his room, and he led her to the large bed waiting for the two of them.
