Chapter 16

I woke up the next morning, smiling. Last night was great, but on to the next day. I tried to get up but was underneath naked flesh. Gently moving them out of the way, I got dressed and handled my morning ritual. Bella was at the stove, cooking.

“Good morning!”

She smiled, “Good morning to you.”

“Do you need any help with breakfast?”

Nikki and Emoli came out of the bedroom at that time. “No, Dom. Thanks for asking though.”

I nodded and got some milk before sitting down. We had a busy day planned, well, I did. And my bodyguard of course. Emoli placed a plate in front of me, then whispered, “I can’t wait for my turn to be punished.”

I chuckled and saw Nikki staring at me from the other side of the table. She mouthed, “I love you and want your cock inside of me.”

She giggled when I shook my head. The four of us ate and had some discussion about the day before heading out.

“Bella, Em, don’t forget to ask about cooks and workers for the inn.”

“We won’t, Nik,” Emoli scoffed. “Just keep our entrepreneur safe today.”

All three giggled. I rolled my eyes at them and ate the rest of my food. We cleaned up and watched Bella and Emoli leave to man the booth with our workers. Hopefully, they will find others that are looking for work.

“Well, handsome. What shall we do first?”

“Let’s go see how the project in your shed is holding up.”

She nodded and we walked out to check the fridge. I opened the door and could feel the cold air. Looking at the bucket, it was melting but at a slow pace.

“Hmm… it works but how long before it melts? Okay, Nikki, break off a chunk of ice. I will get a small pail.”

She broke the chunk of ice off and placed it into the pail. “I will be right back. Put both in the fridge, side by side.”

I walked off and into the house and grabbed the salt before making my way back. Pouring some salt into the bucket, I spread it around.

“What is the salt for? I saw you do the same thing when making the ice cream.”

“It lowers the freezing point of the ice. Thinking about it, we will have to test again when Bella is with us so we can add salt to the water before she freezes it. For now, we’ll just see how well this works.”

“It will be an amazing invention regardless. People can have ice in their homes.”

I nodded and we left, heading towards the inn first. When walking inside, the common room was half full and the clientele were chatting happily. Clara was at the bar talking with a blonde dwarf and as we walked up, she saw us and smiled.

“Here he is now. Mr. Dominic, this is my good friend, Teresa. She is a traveling merchant, dealing mostly with cloth.”

“Well met, Teresa. This lovely lady beside me is Nikki.”
