Chocolate Marble Pound Cake

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 60 minutes

Serve: 8

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoons salt

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup boiling water

2/3 cup buttermilk

Directions:

At 350 degrees F, preheat your oven.

Grease a loaf pan with butter.

Beat melted butter with sugar in a bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy.

Stir in vanilla and eggs then beat for 3 minutes.

Add soda, flour and salt then mix well until smooth.

Mix cocoa powder with boiling water in a bowl.

Add half of the prepared batter into the cocoa mixture then mix evenly until smooth.

Pour 1/3 of the white batter into the prepared pan.

Now add 1/3 of the brown batter followed by 1/3 white and brown batter.

Repeat this step and make swirls in the batter with a toothpick.

Bake the cake for 60 minutes in the preheated oven.

Allow the baked cake to cool then slice and serve.
