Dad and Stephanie’s Household Rules

1. Daddy and Mommy/Stephanie love all the children, no matter what the children say or do.

2. All children agree that the adults in the house (including babysitters) are in charge, and have the final say in issues, no matter what.

3. All children and adults will treat each other with respect.

4. Everyone agrees not to grab toys or other items out of other people’s hands.

5. We all agree to allow others to use our own toys and to appropriately take turns.

6. Everyone agrees to always tell the truth.

7. Everyone agrees to apologize when appropriate and accept the apologies of others.

8. Food is allowed only in the kitchen and family room.

9. Everyone brushes their teeth in their upstairs bathroom.

10. Everyone puts away their own bicycle.

11. Everyone puts their own dirty laundry down the laundry chute after taking it off.

12. Everyone puts their own dirty dishes in the kitchen sink.

13. Everyone carries their trash out of cars and puts it in a trash can.

14. Everyone washes their hands with soap before touching food and after going to the bathroom.

15. Everyone will help others with reading, math, etc.

16. In this house, we say ‟yes” rather than ‟yeah.”

17. No kicking a ball of any size inside the house.

18. No playing at all in the offices, except when using a CD-ROM on a PC.

19. All toys, art projects, etc. are to be put away ten minutes before leaving Dad and Stephanie’s house and going to Mom’s house.

20. When an adult says it’s time to sleep, the decision is final—no negotiation.

21. Everyone agrees that following these rules will create a happy, healthy, and fun household.
