This expression of the Source is described by Thomas Troward in his work entitled, The Dore Lectures on Mental Science, written more than 100 years ago.

Troward was a judge in British-administered India during the period 1869-1896.50

After he retired in 1896, Troward started studying cases involving cause and effect. He became interested in metaphysics, esoteric studies and mental science.

In the opening of The Secret, his teachings were acknowledged as a source of inspiration for the film and its production. One extract from The Dore Lectures on Mental Science is called Divine Operation and is featured prominently in a book entitled, Your Invisible Power, written by Troward’s only student, Genevieve Behrend, and published in 1929.
