4). The presence of The Lord makes you important in the eyes of people.

"And the Lord said unto Joshua, THIS DAY WILL I BEGIN TO MAGNIFY THEE IN THE SIGHT OF ALL ISRAEL, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee."

-Joshua 3:7

When God is with you, He will make you more important. He will make people see you as important. He will make you important to people. People don't listen to you because you are not important. People don't follow you because they don't see you as anything great. But when God is with you, he will cause people to begin to see you as important. He will make you great in the eyes of people. People will look for you, people will seek your counsel, and people will like to follow you. People will listen to you. You will command nations and they will obey. People will begin to respect you all because God is with you.

When Moses died, he left Joshua in charge. He even announced it in front of the people that God has called Joshua to succeed him. But nobody was going to respect a little boy who had been running errands for Moses and pouring water for him to wash his hands when there were mighty men of God that they had seen God transfer Moses’ spirit to.

Joshua was scared and trembling, he couldn't preach, he couldn't teach, he couldn't lead the people. He didn't know what to do, and on top of that, they didn't respect him so they didn't listen to him anyway. But when Gods presence came on the scene, He said, "I will magnify you." In other words, "I will cause them to respect and listen to you. I will make you important. You can't do it on your own; I will sort them out for you."

The presence of God is a wild thing. People don't obey you? Maybe it's because God has not magnified you in their eyes. Maybe it's because Gods presence has not yet come on the scene. When God intervened in Joshua's situation, he became like a superstar to the point that the people actually began to mean it when they said, "... We will kill anyone who disobeys you..."
