Chapter 59

Maybe it was because of the gloomy night that had her guard up. Plus work had been chaotic, and her nerves were shot. Jordan honestly couldn’t blame people, it was human nature to be leery, but they have had more people call in with accusations of possible suspects, neighbors up all hours of the night, and such. Every unknown noise caused a call into dispatch. The available personnel for just the day to day job responsibilities were being worked extensively. Plus, on top of everything else, they decided to increase patrols day and night. Hopefully it made it almost impossible for the serial killer to abduct a victim or at least they would catch him in the process. Thankfully the state troopers and FBI have been able to help out a great deal by offering surveillance.

The DJ on the radio was talking about the serial killer that Hope had and asking the public’s opinion. This didn’t help her calm down either. She flipped through the radio stations, hoping to find some music to listen to. She had to shake herself out of this mood. All she managed to do was scare herself silly. She couldn’t wait for this day to be over so she could just soak in a hot bath and enjoy the quiet of her home.
