Types of Dreams

In trying to break down the types of dreams that you may have, keep it simple. There is no need to delve into scientific protocols for this; the easier it is for you to understand, the more rapid your progress will be. There are only a few types of dreams that you need to learn about. These are prophetic, intelligent, and medical dreams. Many people claim that there are more areas of dream research, but you will make progress if you just keep it simple.

Prophetic Dreams

These dreams are not the kind that you would take much notice of when it comes to past lives. However, you should be aware that your past incarnations have helped to create your present circumstances. Would it not seem natural that the flow of those circumstances could cause other events to be predetermined at a future point in time? With dreams of a prophetic nature you can work your way from the effect back to the cause. This is quite a difficult method to teach, and only you will be able to become aware of the intricacies and nature of the dream. Suppose you have a recurring dream that you were in a train, and the train was always coming off the rails. This could mean many things, but it would be safe to assume that your subconscious is pointing you in the direction of the path you are currently on. Write this down in your journal and look at your present circumstances to identify if there are any patterns. Ask yourself what you may be able to change in your life in order that you do not go wrong anymore, and see what comes up in your next dream. You may then experience the same dream, and the train could remain on the rails. This would obviously tell you that you are on the right track, so to speak.
