Cinnamon Twists
The recipe takes a short while to be ready. Cinnamon adds a wonderful taste to the recipe.
Servings: 12 Twists
Cook time: 21 minutes
Ingredients:
• 1 sheet pastry, frozen puff
• 2 tbsp. butter
• 3 tbsp. sugar, brown
• ¾ tsp. cinnamon
• 1 tbsp. milk
• ¼ tsp. vanilla
• ½ c. cheese, cream
• ¼ c. sugar, icing
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Transfer the puff pastry from the refrigerator then allow it to sit for 30 minutes at room temperature.
2. Mix the cinnamon and sugar into the small-sized bowl then set aside.
3. Line a baking sheet using parchment paper and set aside.
4. Roll the pastry out flat onto a lightly floured surface. Melt the butter, then brush over rolled out pastry.
5. Toss the cinnamon and sugar mix over buttered dough and lightly press combination into the batter with a glass or rolling pin.
6. Cut 12 long, even strips out of money using a knife or pizza cutter that has been lightly floured.
7. Using your hands, twist each piece and lay on the baking sheet—Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
8. While baking, combine icing sugar, vanilla, and cream cheese into a medium bowl and beat until smooth.
9. Add milk and mix until combined; the glaze should be thick but pourable. Allow twists to cool before drizzling with glaze.
