Bake Sale Tip

This bread is ideal for a school bake sale, where simply advertising that the bread has spaghetti in it will pique youngsters’ interest. Cut one of the breads in half so that people can see the unusual design in the center.

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray or grease an 8 x 41/2 -inch loaf pan.

2. Gently knead the spaghetti into the bread dough. Set the dough in the prepared pan. Brush the top with the egg white and sprinkle with the cheese.

3. Bake the bread in the center of the oven for 30 minutes, or until it is golden on top and sounds hollow when tapped.

4. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then turn the bread out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
