Dragon paths

Just as energy meridians flow through our own body, similar channels also network the energetic body of Gaia. The ancient Chinese called these lung mei, or ‘dragon paths’, and sought to locate their homes so as not to disturb their flow.

In 1921, an English entrepreneur named Alfred Watkins had a clairvoyant vision where he saw the landscape of his native Herefordshire networked by lines he called ‘leys’, after ancient clearings in the forests that had covered the land millennia before. He perceived such straight tracks as following ancient pathways and connecting ancient sites.

As interest in such alignment leys increased, dowsers began to sense Earth energies associated with such lines. But unlike Watkins’ straight alignments, these energy leys were sinuous and akin to the lung mei of the Chinese geomancers, or dragon masters.

Over the last 50 years Western geomancers have also discovered that energetic grids encompass Gaia and that the subtle energies of her biofield are in the form of a dodecahedron. This is the fifth of the five elemental solid shapes which the ancient geometers considered to be the idealized templates of physical forms and their interface with Spirit. These five are named ‘Platonic solids’ after the Greek philosopher Plato. Two-and-a-half millennia ago he was the first to describe their geometrical properties and to ascribe one of the primary elements of Earth, Water, Air and Fire to each. To the fifth, the dodecahedron with its 12 five-sided faces, he ascribed the element of Aether – an all-pervasive universal energy, whose existence is now being re-evaluated by cosmologists.

Plato was also the first to describe the grid of Gaia as a dodecahedron. In the 1970s, three Soviet researchers, Nikolai Goncharov, Vyacheslav Morozov and Valery Makarov, announced their discovery of a grid of Earth energies corresponding to this ancient understanding. In physical terms, the grid equates to electromagnetic stress lines around the globe. To some degree it also correlates to the formation of the tectonic plates on which the continents drift and which allow Gaia to continually recycle and replenish the rocks of her crust and thus sustain the fertility of biological life.
