Applause is something to be savoured no matter how many times it’s heard. Each song brings its own applause and one is eternally grateful that the audience even takes the trouble to come to the gig, let alone applaud when they enjoy themselves. It’s a humbling sound. It makes the sacrifice all worthwhile. Standing ovations at the end of a show will always demand more. Playing more or another song will once again get the audience wild and is the cherry on top. It’s often overwhelming. It leaves a long lasting memory.
