CLASSIC CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

½ cup butter, softened

4 ounces (about ¼ cup) cream cheese

¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

2 cups powdered sugar

8 Oreos, cut in half

With a hand or stand mixer, beat softened butter and cream cheese together on medium speed for 3 minutes.

Add vanilla extract and mix on medium speed until thoroughly combined.

Slowly add powdered sugar and beat on low for 1 minute.

Gradually increase the speed to high and beat for 3 minutes, until fluffy.

To Assemble Cupcakes

Gently pipe each cupcake with Classic Cream Cheese Frosting. Garnish with an Oreo cookie piece on top.
