I went for a walk this morning after breakfast. It was so warm, with the sun’s rays caressing me as I walked. This morning, everything seemed more brilliant. The white-crested waves crashing against the rocks on the edge of the beach were a bright turquoise blue.
Holding my shoes, I squished my toes in the warm sand of the beach, watching the water lap at my feet.
I sat down and leaned back, with my arms bracing me behind me. The sun’s warmth washed over my face. I sighed with pleasure.
So far, this had been incredible. There were two men who had made me feel exhilarated, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. They valued my thoughts and opinions. Jamel took the time to explain everything about his company to me, and didn’t think that I was too stupid to understand.
Both of them had helped me explore my sexuality and discover things that I never knew about myself. They gave me the courage to act out one of the fantasies I had always pictured. They got so involved in making my fantasy come true, that I orgasmed many times. It actually seemed like one continuous orgasm.
They thought that I was beautiful just the way that I was. They weren’t trying to talk me into going on a diet or joining a gym to work out. They loved my curves.
That afternoon, I called home. Mom wanted to know what was going on. Apparently, the word had got out that I was staying on the island alone with Jamel and Xavier, and someone had talked to them about it.
My first thought was “why can’t people just mind their own business?” As Hank Williams sang in his song, “If you mind your own business, you won’t be minding mine.”
“Well, I guess that it would get out sooner or later. There were a lot of people present at the auction. I had taken a month’s vacation. The busybodies would put two and two together to make four eventually,” I told Mom.
“Why did you do it?”
“It was for a charity event. I didn’t expect anyone to bid on me. I’m not most men’s dream of a perfect woman. Then, when they did, I thought that it would be a good experience and a good adventure. I wasn’t dating anyone or involved with anyone. What I do with my body is up to me.”
Mom tried to reassure me that she understood and that she agreed with me that my body was mine.
“If I don’t care what other people are saying about me, why do you care?”
“I don’t want your reputation to be hurt. You're an attorney and want to work with children. What if someone questions your morality?”
“I would tell them Mother Theresa has been dead for a very long time and Jesus does not walk on Earth at the moment. I would tell them that ‘he who is without sin can cast the first stone’. I would tell them that ‘people who live in glass houses should not throw stones’.
