In this passage various earlier images are echoed and later images prepared. The angelic harpers and singers recall the earlier birds of paradise and the music in the graveyard-garden; the flood of music recalls the earlier flood images and prepares for the vision later of Grace rumbling through the streets of the New Jersualem; the dreamer's image of his child as a rose (in line 906) recalls the earlier image of the natural rose transformed to a "figured rose" made of pearls and prepares for the image of the risen church as a "garland"; and so on. In the final stanza of Section XV, the dreamer begs permission to ask one thing more.
