ULTIMATE TESTAMENT

Ira Rushton 1913 - 1958

1. I, number two thousand, three hundred and twenty-six (2326) of the Inner Island Penitentiary, of decaying body and a firm mind quickened under blows executed by a host of Britisher guards, and having a conscience clear as sky but a soul cracked under many fierce earthquakes of patriotism, despite the above conditions, do hereby state that my current feeble grandeur and resolution amount to an approximate soundness. Therefore I, two thousand, three hundred and twenty-six (2326), do set forth my last will and ultimate testament.

2. Pursuivant to the intent of said will and testament, here follows an enumeration of the undersigned’s possessions:[i] suit of prison clothes, badly frayed

[ii] prison body, worsely frayed

[iii] love of country, good as mint

Beyond the above three (3) possessions, the undersigned is unaware of any further ownership, unless the Britisher masters would care to allot him, in his lifetime, a homecountry.
