“Babe, ya phone is ringing.” Legend shook Ari awake because her phone had gone off three times in the last twenty-minutes. Whoever it was must have really needed to talk to her. She reached over on the nightstand and grabbed it. Without looking she answered it.

“Hello?” she asked a little irritated because she was exhausted from earlier this morning.

“Hey Ari, what are you doing?” she smiled when she heard Yahmir’s voice.

“I’m lying down baby. What are you doing?” Hearing her call someone else baby while lying next to him pissed Legend off.

“Who the fuck you talking to?” he asked and she smirked. She thought it was cute that he was jealous.

“My honey, now be quiet so I can hear him.” Instead of responding, he snatched the phone.

“Who the fuck is this?”

“Dad? Are you with Ari?” Ari laughed but Legend didn’t find anything funny.

“Yeah I am.”

“Can you come get me so I can see her please?”

“I will later Mir.” He passed the phone back to Ari while pushing her away from him. He was pissed that she was playing games.

“Okay Mir, I’ll call you later okay?”

“Okay bye Ari.” She hung up the phone and turned to face Legend.

“Get away from me man, you play too much.”

“You’re being really childish right now. Even though you’re not my man, I would never be disrespectful and talk to another nigga while laid up with one.”

“I am your man,” he replied without looking at her and she just shook her head. She had a feeling Legend would be around for a long time. She could tell he was the type to get what he wanted and right now he wanted her.

“And when did we decide this sir?”

“When you decided to pop yo’ ass up at my crib.” He looked at her sideways and she rolled her eyes.

“Well if you were feeding that baby right, I wouldn’t have had to come over.”

“I said what the fuck I said, now play with it.” Ari loved how arrogant he was but at the same time hated it.

“You seem pretty damn confident that I’ll be around?”

“I’m a confident man baby.” He leaned down and kissed her.

“Anyway. When is Yahmir coming home?” Ari had grown attached to the little one in a short amount of time and she loved his personality, yet it reminded her that she may never have kids.

“When I go pick him up. Now that he knows I’m with you his little ass gone be blowing me up.”

“He such a cutie,” she responded, thinking about Yahmir.

“Yeah, but his ass bad,” Legend responded.

“No he isn’t,” she took up for him.

“That little nigga got you wrapped around his finger.” Legend shook his head and Ari threw a pillow at him.

“He does not.” She laughed because she knew he was right.

“Yeah okay.”

“What you got up for the day?” he asked hoping she was chilling with him.

“I hadn’t really made any plans. Why what’s up?” he leaned over and kissed her.

“I was hoping I could spend some more time with you.”

“I don’t see why not.
