GETTING THEIR MAN

While Kelly slept, Rainier retrieved her bike from the hospital and headed to the police station after stopping by Harvey’s apartment. She knocked on the metal door frame and entered into the Captain’s office, closing the door behind her.

Leaning back in her chair and focusing tired eyes on Rainier’s face, she said, “Have a seat Detective. How’s Kelly holding up?”

"She’s fine, probably still sleeping. She’s a very strong woman and she’ll get through this.” Giving her captain a moment of reprieve she asked, “Do you have the report on Harvey Linal?”

“Yes, here’s your copy.” She lifted it off a small stack of folders and tossed it across the desk to her. “I thought this might have been your handy work. Were you able to get anything from him on Ragola?”

“He wouldn’t turn on his brothers. He killed himself before I had the opportunity to get anything of importance from him. Beside his home address, but she doesn’t need to know that. He knew he was dead no matter what he told me so he blew his head off.”

“We ruled it a suicide but I’m not sure Ragola will see it that way.” The captain said as she leaned forward and rested her forearms on her desk.

“Good,” Rainier growled, “Maybe that will give him a reason to come out of hiding. I’m sick and tired of being one step behind him. He’s never at home or at any of his businesses when I want to question him.”

A little black book slid across the Captain’s desk and came to rest in front of her, “What’s this?” she asked as she picked it up and started to thumb through it.

“That Captain is Harvey’s calendar. If you’ll flip to the page I have marked, you’ll notice that his brother will be at his home tomorrow night.”

Regina set the book down and started formulating a plan to capture the infamous mob boss. Resting her hand on the book, she looked at Alex. “This may be our only shot at capturing him and I don’t want any mistakes. I’ll have S.W.A.T. raid the house at 9pm and I’ll order to apprehend him alive. That gives you one hour of full nightfall for you to do your thing. Do I make myself clear?”

Alex had to resist the urge to allow her fangs to grow while she smiled at the Captain, “Crystal clear.”

“Good, this has got to end tomorrow night. I don’t want Kelly in danger and in fear for her life. She must be going stir crazy being cooped up in your apartment.” She laced her fingers together on her desk and gazed softly at her detective.

In more ways that you might think or approve of. “I promise you, I’ll take care of Ragola. Is there anything else you need?”

“No, Detective. Happy hunting.”
