Clicking the back button on the video, he grinned at the cell phone screen as it played again. Then he clicked back to watch it again. And again. Again. Again.

If that goddamn firewall in the Raider’s servers hadn’t come down right as he was getting to the meaty bits of information on the man, he would have more than enough to rid himself of the problem of the biker who was just too fucking close to his Aoibheal. It was one thing for Hawk to be the security for Carrie. It was totally another for him to spend any time with Fae. Fae wasn’t Hawk’s client. Hawk should focus his attentions on Carrie, the one he stupidly believed was the real Aoibheal. God, what an idiot. How could anyone look at Carrie, spend a moment in her presence, and believe that she was capable of making musical magic? The woman was as creative as a toddler with two crayons and a napkin.

He had to admit, though, his Fae was a clever one; using Carrie as a smokescreen so all the crazies in the world would focus their ugliness on her and leave Fae free to practice her magic behind the scenes. If Fae was the Wizard, Carrie was the Scarecrow, hay stuffing where her brains should be.

And Hawk was a goddamn flying monkey.

He’d get what he needed, though. Soon enough. There wasn’t anywhere the man could go that he wouldn’t see him.

Watch him.

And his Aoibheal.

The idiots had yet to find the cameras he’d hidden in the studio. He hadn’t had the chance to put any in the hotel room, but he would. And once he had his eyes on Fae in all her quiet, private moments, he’d make his next move. But first, he had to make sure all the pieces were in place. He couldn’t forget a single detail, because getting to his Fae would now prove difficult. Hawk was in the way, but he was easily dealt with, since he had a hard on for the fucking sister. Who would want a piece of trash when they could have treasure? Carrie was used up, vain, ignorant. Fae was purity, innocent, cleverness, and goodness—and his.

Once he finally got her where he wanted her, all her goodness and innocence would be his.
