Noel turned off the A4130 on Hadden Hill just before reaching the Golf Course and headed to the far, most secluded, end of the copse where he parked off the road, reversing into a gap in the trees and turning his lights off. In the dimming evening light he opened the back of the Transit to find Sarah still semi conscious. He picked up the wheel jack and smashed it three times into her head fracturing her cranium but miraculously not killing her. Calmly he hoisted her limp body over his shoulder and headed deep into the trees carrying his tool box in his right hand. Once he considered himself sufficiently removed from the road he tossed her body on the floor, her head thudding against the stub of a tree as he did so. Leaning closely over her he could still feel her faint breath against his hand and smiling he headed for his tool box removing a pair of pliers. Tearing her blouse open he ripped her bra from her body exposing her exquisite breasts. He wasn’t interested in her breasts, he wanted a trophy and he clamped the pliers onto her right nipple and tore it off. Sarah barely moaned, too far gone to concentrate her mind on what was happening to her, on her pain, her mind flashed images before her as she drifted towards her death. Her drifting came to a sudden end the moment Noel severed through her trachea, esophagus and vocal cords with the first sweep of his saw. It took Noel’s practiced hands less than thirty seconds to separate her head from her body and he quickly placed it in the carrier bag that he had brought folded in his pocket. Dragging her skirt and underwear off the remains of her body he proceeded to penetrate her both anally and vaginally with the handle of a hammer before calmly preparing her body, collecting his stuff and heading back to his van.

Xavier was still in Mountain Mania phoning the station to check whether or not Sarah had been called back on duty when Noel drove nonchalantly passed the store. In less than half an hour he had completed his task and he headed off to his rented home to celebrate with a cup of tea.
