I lay curled up under my blankets watching TV. It was after ten, and I was exhausted from the night I’d spent with Spencer. I’d tried all day, but I hadn't been able to shut my head off. My mind continuously floated to what had happened between us. My father had asked me numerous times how the night had gone, and I had just shrugged and given him my usual answer: that Nikki had behaved, and Spencer had gotten home late, so I’d spent the night. Only, this was the first time I had noticed my father looked at me strangely.

I closed my eyes. I could still feel his hands on my body. I could feel myself getting aroused as I remembered how his lips felt against my neck.

"Ainsley, I'm heading to bed," my father said, poking his head into my room.

Alarm filled me for a moment as I opened my eyes, my father standing there watching me. I swallowed hard. "Okay, have a good night’s sleep."

"You too, baby girl."

My body flooded with heat at the sound of my username on Finding Forever. My eyes opened wide, but my father was already gone, then something switched inside of me as I remembered my father had called me that since I'd been a little girl, and I giggled to myself at my moment of panic. Why had I chosen that name for my username? I lay back against my pile of pillows and reached for my remote control when my phone vibrated.

I smiled to myself as I looked at the screen.
