My insides leap. I don’t know who would hire someone to protect me. This whole situation is annoying and as the pounding on the door gets louder, my heart speeds up. Keaton and I stare at each other as neither of us is willing to back down. The banging continues to get even louder. Keaton moves first. He spins on his heel and heads toward the front door. I stomp behind him and wonder why in the hell this dickhead is about to answer my door.

“This is my house you know?” I ask as I stalk behind him.

He chuckles, but doesn’t stop. His hand lands on my doorknob, he turns, and pulls the door open.

“What the fuck took you so long?” another man’s voice breaks through the silence.

I take a step around Keaton and eye the man at my door only to realize there are two of them.

“Goddamn. Is this her?” the man asks as he points at me and his eyes travel down my body.

A shiver races up my spine from just his stare alone.

“Yeah, this is her. Skye this is Brick and Davis. They’re on your protection detail too,” Keaton says.

I glance at him and then back to the guys at the door.

“This is bullshit. Where exactly are you going to be staying?”

Brick laughs before he steps inside.

“Right here with you sweetheart. We’re tag teamin’ it,” Brick says with a chuckle.

Davis stands still with his arms crossed over his chest. He’s glaring straight ahead.

“This is fucked up. Get the hell out of my way. I don’t know what kind of fucked up shit you three have going on, but I can promise you that it’s not happening in my house,” I scream before I grab my keys off of the table and storm past them.

They all watch me when I hear the door slam. I don’t care what they are doing, but I’m heading to Duke’s. This is complete bullshit and I don’t know what they want.

I climb into my car, stick the key in the ignition, and see my passenger side door open to Keaton sliding in. That smug ass smirk that’s back on his face is pissing me off. The car shifts and then the other two are in the backseat within seconds.

“So, where are we headin’?” Brick leans over the seat and asks.

I tip my head to the side and look at him as if he’s lost his goddamn mind.

“I’m going out. Ya’ll are getting the hell out of my car,” I squeal a little louder than I needed to, but he just chuckles.

“Can’t do that princess. We have orders. If you’re goin’ out than so are we.”

Keaton must be the ring leader of these idiots.

“Fine. You can come, but if you cock block me so help me I swear that I will fuck your life up,” I snap as I start the car and pull out of the parking lot.

Brick chuckles as his finger runs along my bare shoulder. I raise my hand to move it away, but I miss and hit him in the face instead.
