Upward-Facing Dog

Like Cobra, this posture opens the chest and stretches out the back.

Start facing downward with hands at your sides, allowing your body to stretch out and relax.

Rest your palms on the floor next to your chest, and shift your gaze outward, directly in front of you.

As you inhale, squeeze your shoulder blades together and then exhale as you press upward on your hands, raising your torso.

Pull your shoulder blades back and lift your rib cage upward and outward.

Hold again for a few breaths. Notice how you feel. Slowly lower yourself, and rest lying down.
