Using social networking add-on apps

The social networking features built into Outlook 2013 are handy, but they clearly don’t provide all of the capabilities that many people might want. For example, perhaps you want tighter integration with LinkedIn or the capability to integrate Twitter in Outlook. Fortunately, Outlook’s social networking features are extensible, and many developers have created apps for use with Outlook to extend the capabilities for several popular social networking services.

To access these apps, visit the Office Store at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps-for-outlook-FX102804983.aspx. In addition to numerous other apps, you’ll find a LinkedIn app that lets you view full LinkedIn profiles and connect to others, and a Twitter app that lets you tweet and access other Twitter features from within Outlook.
