Chapter Six

Colton knew that every unmated male would be coming, as well as the two dragonesses that were looking for their mate. Most of the dragons would be coming in their dragon form to reach the Riddick castle.

The Riddick family castle was hidden high up in the mountains, away from the humans who didn’t know of the shifter world. Once the dragons arrived, they would be given long robes to cover their naked flesh. Clothes did not survive the shift, so the robes were to allow guests to have some modesty while visiting.

Colton paced the hallway on the second level. He wanted to be the first to greet the females once they arrived. He didn’t want to chance another male trying to claim them. Even thought fate determined who shifters mated with, there had been stories of males fighting to the death, in order to have a chance to find out if another dragon was their mate.

Dragons had begun to arrive, and Colton watched as they all shifted. Most came in their triads, while others came alone, and those were unmated individuals. Before exploring the unmated dragons, he wanted to test the waters with the two females, Serni and Raven. Just their names alone caused his cock to stiffen.

Never before had he grown painfully aroused by just saying the name of a woman, much less two.

He glanced out the window and caught sight of two small dragonesses flying toward the landing pad. He was captivated. His breath caught in his throat at the thought of the two women being his mates.
