Imagine if you could go to the moon for summer vacation or take a ride around Earth in a spacecraft. This may be possible sooner than you think. Private companies such as SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, and Blue Origin are planning such missions. Tickets will cost between $200,000 and $300,000. The first flights will be to suborbital space, about 62 miles (100 km) above Earth. But someday people could take one- to two-week vacations on space stations orbiting Earth!
