These Trying Times

Recent times have seen much turmoil in the form of a pandemic, racial unrest, economic struggle, and more. Because of this, many are returning to their ancestral roots for solace and courage. I hope people continue to do so in a respectful and honorable way. Obviously, these words are just the very beginning. A person could spend a lifetime learning the sacred practices that comprise the various African Traditional Religions. There is no way to provide a complete overview in a few pages. However, the more you know, the better prepared you will be to navigate these ancient worlds.

The religions were birthed into existence by enslaved and oppressed people, and they faced challenges that are a nightmarish mirror of what we face today. Over time, they sharpened their tools of resistance, both magickal and otherwise, ensuring their ultimate success.
