The SE3 came with Technical Fabric (vinyl) upholstery as standard, but was always trimmed more luxuriously than the equivalent models for other countries.

All SE3 models had black Technical Fabric vinyl upholstery unless buyers ordered the extra-cost leather options. All versions had a leather-trimmed steering wheel and the 60/40 split folding rear seat. The 24-watt ICE system was standard, although the six-CD autochanger cost extra.

G4 Edition

The G4 Edition Freelander became available in summer 2003, just before the introduction of the facelifted 2004 models. It was a NAS-only special.
