“Are you and Lucifer going to take care of that trickster that has been plaguing the Vatican?” Ezra dragged his fingers across my shoulder and down my hip while we cuddled, the demon prince spooned behind me.

“Trickster?”

“Did he not tell you?” His lips were warm against my shoulder blade as he kissed me and his fingers sparked fire under my skin as he caressed me.

“He asked me to help with something, but he didn’t tell me what. We were going to handle it after the party.”

“I suppose it can plague the Catholics for a little while longer.” Ezra chuckled.

“I didn’t want to get caught up in something and then miss Aaron’s parents’ thing . I’m regretting that decision.”

“Aaron did say we could cancel.”

“Tempting, but also it’s only a few hours of our lives.”

“What could go wrong?” Ezra added with an amused chuckle.

“Fucking hell, demon. You just cursed us.”

His arm moved along my skin as he shrugged. “You’re bringing Lucifer to a Christmas party. I’m pretty sure we’re already screwed.”

“Great, mate. Just fucking great.”

“Am I wrong?”

“Hope so.”

He laughed again and pulled me tighter against his chest. “Let’s not worry about it, Chris. I’ve got other ideas for how we should spend the rest of the evening.”

“Sounds good to me, Ezra.” I reached up to stroke one of the horns curling out from his soft, wavy hair.

His eyes shuttered in pleasure, and I reveled in the trust he had in me, letting me disarm him so completely.

Feeling safe and content, I let my fingers play over his skin as he caressed mine, enjoying the connection the cuddling built between us. Maybe we’d do more, maybe we’d just lay here and enjoy each other’s soft touches. I was content either way.
