3 You’ll make your next knot under the first one. Bring the working end around the headphone cord to form a loop and feed the end through the loop. Continue tying half hitches with Color 1 until you reach the point where the headphone cord splits.

4 Following Steps 1–3, use the Color 2 strand to wrap the left cord from the point where the cord splits all the way to the earbud. Use the Color 3 strand to wrap the right cord. If your headphones have a volume control button, stop the wrap before it (see Step 5) and continue after it (see Steps 1–3).
