North Node of the Moon in 5th house/Leo

With the North Node in the 5th house/Leo the evolutionary intention is to develop the creative potential of the self from the foundation of self-awareness that has been garnered from the past. If the past has involved traumatic experiences that have shaped the identity this goal becomes all the more important. The North Node then indicates a return to the self in order to overcome the prior fragmentation.

To enjoy a personal self that is fulfilled and celebrated is a part of the universal plan for being alive. In order to grow in evolutionary terms there is no need to abandon the self. In fact, to do so confers a substantial disadvantage. When we are traumatized, fragmented or ungrounded we are unable to tune into the energy which is the foundational point of our spirit and our essence.

Caroline Myss wrote perceptively in Anatomy of the Spirit that in order to heal one must have caught up with all the disparate parts of oneself. She holds that at every developmental stage in life where we fail to self-actualize, we leave parts of our energy body stuck at that particular time. When we add the idea of reincarnation, this concept takes on greater significance. To heal and to grow we must have enough of ourselves and our energy available in the present to be able to move forward with purpose. If too much of our energy is wrapped up in the past, it’s more difficult to move ahead. The North Node of the Moon in the 5th house/Leo symbolizes this necessary return to the self.
