(2)Composite systems are in particular systems made of many (either identical or not) particles. If we have a pair of particles respectively described on the Hilbert space H 1 and H 2, the full system is described on H 1 ⊗H 2. Notice that, in the finite-dimensional case, the dimension of the final space is the product of the components’ dimensions. In CM the system would instead be described on a phase space which is the Cartesian product of the two phase spaces. In that case the dimension would be the sum, rather than the product, of the dimensions of the component spaces.
