Long Dell Inn  Built in 1849 as a home for Captain Reuben Jones, who made his wealth in the Gold Rush, this pretty Greek Revival is now one of the few B&Bs in this pretty corner of the mid-Cape—it’s welcomed lodgers for over 80 years. The terrific Centerville location means you’ll be close to the village’s cute general store and a very good ice-cream shop. From the inn it’s just a short walk or drive to Craigville Beach, one of the best in the area.

436 S. Main St., Centerville. 508/775-2750. www.longdellinn.com. 7 units. Summer $150–$210. Rates include full breakfast. Free Wi-Fi.

Simmons Homestead Inn  If you prize uniqueness and informality over routine, this former captain’s house may be your B&B of choice.
