Chapter 12

The next morning it was business as usual, now the tension was gone between Riot and me, shit was free to go back to normal. Vexx called church at nine in the morning.

“I swear I would sell my left tit for a full day of beauty rest. Who the hell is even up at this bloody hour?” Duchess complained as she put her head down on the table and waited for Vexx to start.

“You done?” Vexx glared at Duchess until she sat up straight and paid attention. “Chedda and his crew need to be handled, and I don’t mean we have to scare him, I mean he needs to be gone. Now we gave him a chance to leave Catori and her property alone, but he decided against that line of action. Now I want to destroy him. I want to know who he’s working for or if he is the head piece of shit in this operation. I want everything he has his hands in to blow the fuck up in his face. I want his entire crew to regret ever fucking with us.”

“Riot, I need you to figure out who is what within that bullshit gang, who has the bankroll, and who’s calling the shots. Where they’re running shit from and what shit they are running. Duchess, you and Sugar check out any places they might be giving a hard time. I have a feeling we’re going to find more women bosses they’ve been targeting, and if they need protection, we can give it. Let them know what we expect for payment. Bumblebee, I need you and Free to handle Catori. She needs to be watched twenty-four-seven weapons hot. Those bastards will try to rob her again, and when they do, I want a fucking round in their heads. Understood?”

“That detail means you’ll be out of the clubhouse until we get shit together, your phone stays on at all times, and you watch each others back. I am sure Catori will find a space for you to sleep.”

“Jag will help out, he’s still not a hundred percent with trusting us, but I convinced him to let us do our job.” At least I hoped I had convinced him to let us do our job. I still wasn’t one hundred percent sure about that.

“So be it, I want this shit done yesterday, so let’s get it done. I’ll reach out to our allies to see what info they can give us.” Vexx raised the diamond block and slammed it down on the table.

We stood up, but I stayed hunched over for a second. The bruises and pain from yesterday were in full swing.

“Aww, should I get the old lady a cane?” Bee teased as she walked out the door ahead of me, not even worrying about me.

“Fuck you,” I said through gritted teeth as I forced myself into the standing position and began to walk out of the door.
