OLIVIA & RON

Olivia sat back on the hard-back chair. Today’s visit was nothing more than an excuse to come to the Federal Detention Center and chat with the guards, trying to figure out this Adam O’Shea. Ron had mentioned Eva might be a possible “leak,” however unintentional her slip. As a young agent, Eva might not be as vigilant as veteran agents. And who was this Uncle Bill?

Well, Olivia couldn’t do much about it now with Eva undercover. Unless Eva was working for the trafficker—totally unfathomable—she couldn’t leak anything while undercover.

“So, nothing to add?” Olivia asked the Ghost. “You want us to capture Ray Ho, don’t you?”

“I already told you everything you need to know.”

Hands pressed against the cold steel table, Olivia waited a beat. “You know your deal would be off if you’re holding out on us.”

The Ghost tilted her head. “I understand. You have all you need to catch him. Now, is there anything else?”

She stood up. “Until next time.”

Olivia left the meeting with the sense of a veiled chess game, each move masked with ambiguity. The Ghost had proven to be an adversary who was not to be underestimated. In her car, Olivia dialed Ron’s number. “Get ready,” she stated. “We have a game to win.”
